PREPPING FOR YOUR MAKEUP APPLICATION

Please gently exfoliate your skin the day before your appointment to ensure that you have a smooth base for us to complete the makeup application on. The morning of the makeup application, please arrive with a clean and moisturized face that is free of makeup. You can do your entire skincare routine if you have one! We will re-moisturize your skin during the skin prep stage of the makeup application, but it is important to have a well hydrated base to achieve a flawless looking base.

A few months prior to the makeup application, specifically for weddings, I would recommend starting to look into skincare treatments with an Esthetician or Dermatologist to ensure that your skin is as flawless as can be on the day of your wedding. Starting sooner rather than later is essential so that your skin has plenty of time to adjust to the skincare and look as good as it possibly can! I would recommend asking your Esthetician about Hydrafacials and Dermaplaning (essentially facial shaving + exfoliating); these treatments will leave the skin smooth as butter and glowy!

I also ask that you arrive with an inspiration photo of the makeup look that you are hoping to have for your wedding/event/photoshoot. Having photo references is extremely helpful so that we are both on the same page in regards to what you may like or not like for your makeup! Pulling inspiration from my website/Instagram is best, but pulling from other websites like Pinterest is also helpful. Please keep in mind your facial features, skin tone, eye shape, etc, when you are looking at inspiration photos.

If you plan to be spray tanned for your wedding day, it would be helpful that you have a spray tan for your bridal trial if possible so that you get a better idea about how your wedding day makeup will look!

WHAT TO WEAR FOR YOUR MAKEUP APPLICATION

Please wear a top that is easy to remove without ruining the makeup. I would recommend a button up top with a tank top underneath, a tank top alone, or anything with a loose fitting neck hole. I do ask that you do *not* wear the outfit that you plan to go to your event/photoshoot wearing in case we get makeup on your outfit. While I do try my best to ensure that you do not leave with makeup on your clothes, there is always the possibility that it could happen and I do not want to ruin your outfit!

For bridal trials, if possible, I ask that my brides arrive wearing something white and with their hair styled nicely.  If you have a nice pair of earrings (pearl, sparkly, some sort of bridal-esque earring), please also wear those! If you plan to have a spray tan for your wedding, I would recommend having a spray tan for your bridal trial so that you can see what the look will look like on your wedding day skin tone. When you are wearing a white top, a tan, bridal earrings, and with nicely styled hair, you will feel much more bridal which will allow you to envision how you will look on your wedding day.
